UCONN v UC - Big East Championship Tailgate

Our Bearcats have the opportunity to win their 3rd Big East Championship in 4 years.

Unfortunately USF didn't do us any favors the other night but now it is time for our Bearcat Seniors to lead us to a victory against UCONN in the final game of the regular season.

This week's Chili Cook-Off tailgate will start at 8am. Senior Day festivities start at 11:25am so we will be shutting down the tailgate around 11am so we can show our support for all the seniors and their families.

Feel free to bring your favorite chili dish or side. As always donations are always appreciated to off-set our costs. A big thanks to Miller Lite for supporting us this season.

Check out last week's highlights from the win over Syracuse:

UC vs. WVU Tailgate Saturday Nov. 12

Join the Bearcat Tailgate crew this Saturday for Kegs & Eggs before the big game! You can find us in the Longworth Hall parking lot located at 700 W. Pete Rose Way. Just look for the Ultimate Tailgate Trailer parked in the back row toward the center of the lot. The first Keg of ice cold Miller Lite will be tapped at 8am so don't be late! We will have food and drinks but feel free to bring a little something extra to add to the festivities or just drop a small tailgate donation in our donation box. Saturday's game is the annual ring of red game so don't forget to wear red. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday as the Bearcats continue their quest for a 3rd Big East Championship in 4 years. Go Bearcats Beat WVU!

Homecoming 2011 Tailgate - Louisville

It is time for that special weekend that happens only once a year, homecoming. This year the homecoming game is being played at Paul Brown Stadium. Don't forget that the homecoming parade takes place on Friday, more details here. The Bearcat Tailgater Crew isn't going to let a location change damper what is always a great party prior to kick-off. In fact we are excited to support our Bearcats as they take on the Cardinals on the river.

Kick-off is slated for 12pm. We will be setting up around 7:30am in Longworth Hall parking lot. If you came to the Oklahoma game, this is a great location and a short walk to the stadium.

Map and directions to the Longworth Hall parking lot.

We will have a wide assortment of morning tailgate favorites, beer and a bloody mary bar. All we ask is that you bring your favorite dish and drop us a few bucks to help us cover our expenses.

Join us to ensure that you are ready to help cheer on our Bearcats to a win over the Cardinals and that the Keg of Nails stays in Clifton.

North Carolina State Tailgate

For those of you who made the trip to Raleigh last year, it's time for payback at the Nip. We need to show our team that we are behind them prior to our Bearcats taking the field at 8pm on ESPN. Given all the talk of conferences etc, let's show the ACC how we do things in Cincinnati.

Join us around 6pm to watch the team as they make their CatWalk to the stadium, we plan to get the party started around 5pm.

Our normal food crew is unavailable tonight so please bring a dish to share with the group, we will have plenty of drinks on hand.  A reminder that we are now on campus (more info here). We appreciate donations to offset our costs, find the donation slot on the trailer next to the beer tap.

The first 10,000 fans get this limited edition poster, THIS IS A BLACKOUT GAME!

Bearcat Tailgater In Knoxville

Well....what can I say. The game was absolutely brutal to watch as our Bearcats took a thumping 45 - 23. While the game was ugly, I think it is safe to say the Bearcat Faithful who made the trip to Knoxville had a great time. Calhoun's served as Tailgate Central for Bearcat Fans! The restaurant was packed with people wearing red & black and the parking lot was full of Bearcat Tailgaters. It was awesome to see so much red & black in one spot.

The Bearcat Tailgater Tailgate at Calhouns Knoxville, TN

I found most of the Tennessee fans to be extremely welcoming and helpful. I even did a little boat hopping with my Buddy AC to tailgate with The VOL Navy. The VOL Navy is a group of boaters that congregate and tailgate at the docks outside Neyland Stadium before game day! Check it out.

Bearcat Tailgating in Knoxville

Attention fellow Tailgaters!! Crack the Tennessee Moon Shine! The wheels are in motion for another awesome Tailgate with the Bearcat Tailgate Crew. We are encouraging all Bearcat Fans to Tailgate at Calhoun's located at 400 Neyland Drive. This is SEC tailgating, so take it easy on the booze Friday night and be prepared to rise and shine bright and early if you plan on grabbing a tailgate spot. That's right...the lot opens at 6am and I'm told if you want a spot, you better be there by 6am not 6:30am. Spots are $30 a piece - RV's & Tailgate vehicles are welcome (you are required to pay for the amount of spots your vehicle will take). The UC Alumni Association is holding a Sold Out event at Calhoun's so there should be plenty of Bearcat Fans in this area. If you plan on attending our tailgate please send me comment on our Facebook Page so we can do our best to plan accordingly. Please feel free to bring something to add to the party!

New Tailgate Spot For 2011

Fellow Tailgaters! We are excited to announce that we are moving our tailgate to be part of the Gridiron Tailgate on the Campus Green. As most UC tailgaters know, tailgating space around campus is limited and we feel the Gridiron will be the best tailgating atmosphere hours before kick-off. So what is the GRID and how does it work?

The GRID is made up of 100 tailgating plots stretched across Campus Green giving fans the chance to bring their pre-game parties to the heart of campus. The 1200 Club is determined to develop the pre-game culture of Bearcats Football and create the best possible gameday atmosphere for the fans and for the football team as they step off the bus for the CATWALK through campus.

Plots will be sold on a season-long basis for a flat rate of $150. Each plot shttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifize will average 20' x 16' and are only valid for games at Nippert Stadium. All plot requests must be received by Friday, Aug. 12.

Drop-off zones allow plot holders the ability to conveniently unload their tailgating supplies near the site. (View The GRID Guide for locations)

Plot holders may bring their own food, beverages and tailgating supplies including grills, coolers, tables, chairs and small tents. Alcohol is permitted; no glass bottles or cans. Cups are acceptable. Food and beverage vendors will also be on site.

The GRID has partnered with All-American Rentals for those who would like to rent supplies. All-American Rentals can conveniently provide tents, grills, tables, chairs and coolers for your party. They can be contacted after the allocation of the spaces at 513-521-6500.

The GRID opens four hours prior to the scheduled game time and will re-open for one additional hour after the conclusion of the game.

The area will close 30 minutes prior to kickoff and patrons must vacate the area during the game. Tailgate equipment may be left at your space during the game as security will remain on hand.

Fans that do not have a reserved space inside the GRID are welcome to visit the GRID's Open Access Area. This free area allows the placement of coolers and chairs, but grilling is not permitted.

For additional information, including rules and regulations pertaining to the Gridiron Tailgate, please view the GRID guide by clicking HERE.

For any additional questions about the GRID, please contact Keith Pantling at keith.pantling@uc.edu.
